The Warrior Code

001 | First things first, this site is made PG-13 due to Proboards TOS. If you have not taken a look at them yet, I suggest you do so here. Because it is a normal process in the Warriors books, we do accept death, mating, and pregnancy. You are just not allowed to thread out sex or graphic violence on the public boards. Until further notice, you MUST PM a staff member about that death/mating/pregnancy. If a mating or pregnancy occurs, both partners must stay active or the event will not follow through.

002 | Post in third person! This is the universal standard for roleplay, and it simply makes sense. First person is to only be role-played in the character thoughts, speech, personal flashbacks, and in the IC cBox.

003 | Only one character per account, please. You may use a picture of your character no larger than 165x300 pixels for the account's avatar. You may also have a signature 550x300 pixels. Sizes bigger than this look bad or stretch the page. If you are having trouble finding a picture of your cat, post in Help Me Find My Cat and one of our members will see if she can help you, as she has access to many original cat pictures.

004 | There is no word count here, but we ask that you post about as much as the person you are roleplaying with, unless you have worked out an agreement. It looks bad to potential members if our posts are too short. If you are roleplaying with someone who is posting less than you, good work on your part and please avoid nagging. Thank you.

005 | You may use any username you like when you sign up. However, before you start roleplaying, you must change your display name to your character's name. Please remember that when talking about a cat only the first letter is capitalized. It is Wildstar NOT WildStar. Also, you may only have a hyphen if absolutely necessary. The correct format is Hawk-kit and Hawkflight, NOT Hawkkit or Hawk-flight.

006 | You do not have to have a face claim here, for obvious reasons. You may simply describe your cat, though you may be asked to go into further detail before your profile is accepted. You may also post a real picture—cartoon pictures must be supplemented by a description. If you do wish to use a real picture of a real cat and you don't have one, please post in the Help Me Find My Cat thread and someone will help! If you see someone else using the same exact picture as you, please check to see who signed up first; we go by first come, first served. If there is an issue, please PM a staff member.

007 | You may post your Bio/Application even if you are not finished. Just be sure to put [WIP], meaning work in progress, in the title. When posting your character, please make sure to post the name in all caps followed by their position in lower case.

To all returning members: We realize that this is different then how MountainClan was originally set up but you must post a fully fleshed out bio, no matter how long you were on the old site.

008 | We have a no-kill policy. Any cats that are found inactive after an activity check (about every two months) will automatically be put in StarClan. However, your account will never be deleted from the site except as a punishment for rule-breaking. If you return and your character is in StarClan, speak to an admin about re-entering the site. StarClan is also a place for deceased cats. You might see some StarClan cats posting regularly, because the cats themselves died throughout the course of the site but are still playable.

If you must be away for a long period of time due to circumstances beyond your control, you must post in the absent board to avoid the removal of your account. We will work with you to the best of our ability.

009 | You cannot create a high-position character without experience on the site and permission from the staff. High positions include Leader, Deputy, Medicine Cat, and Senior Warriors. This goes for all clans, not just MountainClan. If you are interested in playing a high-level cat at some point, PM a staff member and it will be discussed.

010 | Do not spam, advertise, or bash this site or its members in the CBox. If a member is found taking such actions, he or she will be _ to the punishments section below. All advertising should be done in the designated forum. The cbox exists only for casual communication between members or potential members.

011 | In the IC cbox, you are to use your character’s name and a smaller version of the avatar you use on the site. The normal cbox rules apply here as well.

012 | If you break a rule, a PM will be sent to you asking you to fix the problem. If you have not responded (to the PM or by fixing it) within a week, you will be sent an email regarding your violation. If it has still not been fixed within a week after that, your account will be banned. Please note that this is the only time an account will ever be deleted permanently from the site.

If you do fix the violation, but you break the rules 2 more times, your account will be suspended for a period of time upon staff discussion.

If you repeat after your account has been suspended, you will be banned.

013 | Please note that your character's behavior has no reflection upon you as a member of this site, so long as said behavior does not violate the above rules. If your character misbehaves or disobeys the IC Warrior Code, he/she may be punished IC.
